You may not believe that pineapple can be your one of natural cough remedies. In fact, it contains bromelain. The bromelan is an enzyme which helps to suppress coughs and loosen the mucus in the throat. To get the benefits of bromelian, you can drink 3.5 ounces of pineapple juice  and also eat a slice pineapple three times a day. Pineapple also helps to alleviate sinusitis and allergy-caused sinus issues.

 

Peppermint also helps to sooth the throats and acts as decongestant which helps to loosen mucus. You can get the benefits by making peppermint tea or inhaling peppermint steam bath. For making the steam bath, you will need  3-4 drops of peppermint oil for 150 ml of hot water. Drape a towel over your head, and inhale directly above the water. Besides, thyme is also known as respiratory illnesses. It has flavonoids for relaxing the throat muscles and reducing inflammation. You need 2 teaspoons of crushed thyme and a cup of hot water.
